My name is Lisa, and I have loved all things beauty since I started wearing makeup back in high school. Although I don't believe that we need to wear makeup, I do believe in putting your best self out there. For me, I feel more comfortable in my own skin when I put on makeup and do my hair before walking out the door. I do it for no one but me.
I grew up in a northern suburb of New York City and relocated to a northern Dallas suburb. Making friends is difficult when you reach a certain age and have no children. I really missed "girl time" with my friends and having others to talk to about makeup, hair, nails, etc. I figured that blogging was the next best thing to fill this void that only other women could understand.
As women, it's so important to us to connect with others. I feel it's essential to share and learn from one another. Life can be difficult enough. Let's help each other rather than hurt.
