Cream Eyeshadows

My introduction to cream eyeshadows was with Smashbox's liner shadows. This product isn't on their website anymore, so I think it's discontinued. I purchased two from QVC, and they each came with a brush.  The brush is awesome! I still have two and use them to apply the cream eyeshadows I have in my current collection. This product was great as a long wearing eyeliner. As an eyeshadow, I didn't care for how it felt on my eyelids.

When I moved to a warm climate, I had to change my makeup in the summer months.  Powder shadows didn't stay on well. I needed eyeshadow that would at least last the work day. Then, I discovered Benefit! I have three of their cream eyeshadows in my collection. The first was Flatter Me. It's a tan, neutral color that's great for everyday wear. It lasts all day without creasing or flaking off. The next was Get Figgy, which is a pretty metallic plum. The most recent color I got is Busy Signal. It's a deep, metallic brown. Each of them work great as an eyeliner and a shadow. If it's in your budget, I highly recommend this product.

Maybelline gave me a pleasant surprise with their Color Tattoo eyeshadows. They have about 10 colors  in their current collection. Some are wearable, but some are a little too bold for me. They occasionally put out limited edition collections that I've missed. If you haven't tried cream shadows and don't want to spend a lot of money, try this one. It applies and wears as well as my end products.

How do you feel about cream eyeshadows?  Which one(s) do you use?
